Refund policy
Returns and refunds
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or materially different from its description, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or another remedy depending on the circumstances.
Change-of-mind returns
We do not accept change-of-mind returns for used, opened or unsealed records.
New records that remain sealed and unused may be returned for change of mind if you contact us within 14 days of delivery. The item must be in its original condition and packaging. Please wait for return instructions before sending anything back. Customers are responsible for return postage and original shipping charges are not refundable for change-of-mind returns.
Condition and grading
Used records and their sleeves are individually described and graded. Wear, marks or other characteristics that were clearly disclosed before purchase are not considered undisclosed faults. If you believe an item is materially different from its description, please contact us so we can assess it.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Contact us at hello@vinyltheory.com.au with your order number, a description of the issue and, where practical, clear photographs. For shipping damage, please contact us promptly so we can investigate with the carrier. We may ask to inspect the item before providing a remedy. Where the item does not meet a consumer guarantee, Vinyl Theory will cover reasonable return costs as required by law.
How to request a return
Email hello@vinyltheory.com.au before returning an item. Returns sent without prior contact may be delayed. If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method. Your bank or card provider may take additional time to process the refund.
